Idaho Power Traffic Advisory for Scout Park at C.J. Strike Reservoir

Traffic flow throughout C.J. Strike’s Scout Park will be changed from 7 a.m. June 24 through 5 p.m. June 26.

The park will remain open to the public, but standard traffic patterns will be temporarily reversed due to heavy equipment operating along the road at the base of the dam.

Upon entering the park, vehicles will be directed to travel along the road immediately to the left, following traffic control guidance. All traffic will enter and exit the park using the same route.

Vehicles towing RVs will require escort assistance to ensure they can safely approach campsites from the proper direction for backing in. Traffic control monitors will be on hand to help with this.

If possible, we recommend postponing your visit to avoid delays and congestion during these two days. If you have overnight camping reservations and would like to reschedule, you can do that by logging into your account at CampLife.com or by calling 208-388-2323.

The work is routine seismic testing of materials below the dam. Idaho Power said its park staff appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while the work is completed safely.
